The raffles sales raised HK$27,000 for the Jaycee Peng Chau Clinic in April. In honour of the Governor’s visit in August, almost the entire 4,000 population of Peng Chau gathered to witness the opening of the clinic.

A 4,000-book Library was opened on Nov 22 in the Shek Kip Mei Resettlement Area.

Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce donated five noodle machines for converting the milk powder and flour into noodles, a popular and edible food for Chinese, to feed refugees from the Mainland.

JCI Vice President for Commissions Maurice Sexton and his wife arrived in Hong Kong for an official visit.

The refurbished Peng Chau Clinic is still offering service to
the community.

A dream became a reality when President Colin Ure signed
the contract for the construction of the Jaycee Peng Chau
Clinic in the presence of representatives of Peng Chau Rural
Committee. The designer of the clinic was Mr Peter Ng (the gentleman standing in the middle), an authorized Architect. He became our President in 1962.
