• Queensway Jaycees, an English speaking chapter, was formed and affiliated as the 14th Chapter.

• Macau Jaycees, the first Jaycee Chapter in Macau, was formed and affiliated as the 15th Chapter.

• Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce won two LOM Awards at the JCI Kuala Lumpur Conference.

• Hong Kong Junior Chamber of Commerce won one LOM Award at the JCI Montreal World Congress.

• Miss Doreen Leung Dor-Ling, a 1982 TOYP Awardee of Hong Kong, was selected as a TOYP of the World Honoree during the JCI Montreal World Congress.
