  • National President Senator Louise Chan was elected as APDC Chairman for the Year 2000 at the JCI Bali Conference.

  • Past National President Senator Sonny Yu was elected to the Board of Directors of the JCI Foundation.

  • Senator Caroline Au Yeung was appointed as 2000 JCI Honorary Treasurer at the JCI Cannes Congress.

  • The Greater China Young Entrepreneurs Summit was hosted by the Hong Kong Junior Chamber.

  • “Digital 21 Power For Youth” is a Campaign organized by Hong Kong Junior Chamber, Hong Kong Productivity Council and Ming Pao Daily News and co-organized with the Information Technology Services Department of HKSAR Government.

  • Hong Kong Junior Chamber was invited by the Hong Kong Government (Home Affairs Bureau) as one of the co-organized of the Youth Jamboree”.

  • Hong Kong Junior Chamber won 4 NOM Awards, 3 LOM Awards and 4 LOM Certificates of Merit at the JCI Bali Conference.

  • Besides winning 2 NOM Awards and 9 LOM Awards at the JCI Cannes Congress, Hong Kong Junior Chamber was awarded “Outstanding NOM of the World” (Area B).

  • 1998 TOYP Awardee Mr Cheung Hok Yau Jacky ( 張學友) was awarded TOYP of the World Honoree during the JCI Cannes Congress.

  • Opening of the “Hong Kong Junior Chamber School of Hope” in Guangxi China.

“Digi 21 Power For Youth” was organized in response to the initiative by HKSAR Government on promoting the adoption of Information Technology among the communities in youth and the Digi 21 Strategy. Awardees of Ten Outstanding Young Digi Person Selection, Fedex E-business Proposal Award with Guest of Honor and organizers.

In order to make the Hong Kong Junior Chamber well known to the general public and arouse the sense of belonging of members, we introduced JC Visa Card and Jaycee membership card which provides various discounts benefits

to members.

Peninsula Junior Chamber raised fund to build Ying Tak Primary School of Hope to improve the study environment of the children in Guangdong Province (Ying Tak City) of China.

“Right Decisions Program” was continued to provide the right attitude to youngsters and more than 20 training camps were organized and it was well-received by the Secondary Schools and Education Department.

Greater China Young Entrepreneurs Summit, a high-level conference was organized by Hong Kong Junior Chamber, co-organized by Taiwan Junior Chamber, Macau Junior Chamber and All-China Youth Federation together with 13 trade-related organisations and participants from around 250 Small Medium Enterprises.

Artist Jacky Cheung Hok Yau ( 張學友) was awarded World TOYP Honoree at 1999 Cannes Congress. Press Conference to announce the result which attracted more than 20 presses.

Hong Kong Junior Chamber was invited by Home Affairs Bureau as one of the 15 organizers for the “Youth Jamboree” (a wild camp for 2000 youngsters) to promote “Hong Kong, our Home”.
