  • 2002 was the year of collaboration with external resources. Hong Kong Junior Chamber initiated several collaborations with Government Departments, institutions as well as other service partners, such as:

    • providing training services for the “Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme” of the Labour Department of HKSAR Government;

    • providing leadership training programs to Macau University;

    • promoting the “Preferred Graduate Development Program” of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University both locally and internationally;

    • NP being an advisor of the Student Learning Project for the Division of Social Studies, and Postgraduate Research Expo 2002 of City University;

    • providing speakers for various programs of Rotary Club International District 3450, AIESEC in Hong Kong as well as Po Leung Kuk Wu Chung College;

    • being the supporting organization of the “Caring Company Scheme” promulgated by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service;

    • being the supporting organization of the “Worldwide Lessons in Leadership Series VI”; and

    • being the supporting organization of the “2002 Future Leaders Summit” hosted by the Outstanding Young Persons Association.

  • To help projecting an entrepreneurial image, the new JC Uniform was adopted.

  • Training and Development Council (TDC), previously known as the Training and Development Committee was renamed and celebrated her 10th Anniversary.

  • Guinness World Records confirmed the recognition of “The World’s Largest mosaic made of paper flowers” in 2002, which was made by the awardees of 2001 TOYP Selection together with hundreds of members of Hong Kong Junior Chamber, disabled persons, students and volunteers participated in creating a giant paper flower sculpture.

  • Hong Kong Junior Chamber won 8 LOM and 2 NOM Awards at the JCI Sendai ASPAC Conference; also, 4 LOM and 1 NOM Awards at the Las Vegas World Congress.

A visit to the Tang Ancestral Hall with WP Salvi Batlle was

arranged after World President meeting with Government

officials at Yuen Long District Office.

NP Senator Tony Chan presented his report to the first paperless Area B NOM Presidents Meeting during Sendai ASPAC Conference.

HKJC delivered several trainings for the case managers of

“Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme” of the Labour

Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, the Vice-Chancellor of the Hong Kong University attended the National Convention as the Guest of Honor.
