2012 is a fabulous year of JC movement in Hong Kong. Hosting the JCI Asia-Pacific Conference Hong Kong for over 4,800 delegates from over 40 nations provided unique opportunities to our members as 200 University volunteers in organizing such a large scale project.

The campaign of “We Unite for a Better World”, which echoes the UN Millennium Development Goals, has accomplished significant progress through Art Exhibition, Inter-Secondary School Debates Competition and Charity Concert. Over HKD 350,000 has been raised for JCI Nothing But Nets program since 2010 that support UN Foundations to fight Malaria in Africa. We have joined the UN Global Compact this year and pledged to promote its 10 principles in Hong Kong. Hundreds of impactful projects in the 18 Districts have been initiated by our 19 affiliated local chapters. Programs and Chapter that received international recognition include:

Membership reached highest level of more than past 10 years of 1,100 current members and nearly 2,000 in total membership under the support of new membership extension scheme “JCI Networker”, which recognize every referrer’s effort, and new National Convention Award program.

Members this year have high involvement in JCI worldwide. Over 13 members have been elected or appointed in international and regional positions including JCI Vice President Ken Wong and JCI Asia Pacific Senate President Michelle Tang.

was the guest of honor of JCI Asia Pacific Conference in
Hong Kong.
During the visit to All-China Youth Federation in Beijing, Jaycees and Jayceettes enhanced their understanding of the cultural, political, social and economic development of China.
